Falooda

With temperatures reaching the low 90s (F), without  a shadow of a doubt, for us Midwesterners, summer is HERE ......!! Sipping falooda on the deck past the twilight hour …..gazing thru the stars....just relaxing and soaking in the calmness…the birds chirping at a distance…..a plane flying by ..this is therapy in itself ……. !! How do you like to relax and unwind yourself?

Ingredients: serves 2

Milk: 2 cups
Falooda sev: handful
Rose syrup : 2-3 tbsp
Tukmuri seeds/ Subza: 1 tbsp
Vanilla ice cream: 2 scoops

Boil the sev in water for about 20 min, drain the excess water and let it cool. Soak the tukmuri seeds, they will puff up and double in size…in about 15 min.

In a glass add cooked sev (cool), and soaked tukmuri seeds and rose syrup, pour in cold milk and top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!!Now did we mention easy!:)

Did you know Tukmuri is basil seeds.

  18. I don't believe it! I could've made Kulfi-falooda at home...I could've, I could've...but now I can't.

The more important point here is...the pictures are fabulous and that we've got the recipe.

    Thank you, Turmericnspice:)
